Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Concrete Quantity (“we”, “our”) collects when you use https://concretequantity.com/, and how it is used.

Contact: if you have questions about this policy, email ellenstevensone@gmail.com.

Information we collect

We collect very little. Our calculators run entirely in your browser: the measurements you type are processed on your own device and are never sent to our servers.

We and our service providers may automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and time of visit. This is used for security, to keep the site working, and to understand aggregate usage.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to function (for example, remembering your cookie consent choice).

Preferences: our unit toggle (feet/inches or metres/cm) is stored in your browser so your choice is remembered.

Analytics: we may use privacy friendly analytics to understand which pages are popular. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.

Advertising cookies: we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites across the internet. This is known as interest based advertising.

You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) and at the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page (https://www.aboutads.info/choices/). You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking cookies may affect how the site works.

Third parties

Advertisers and analytics providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and security

Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and site operation, then deleted or anonymised. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

Your rights

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email ellenstevensone@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
